About our Jaw and Chin Augmentation Treatments
Ageing and genetics are the two main reasons for a chin that lacks projection and a weak or recessive jaw. A lack of support to the surrounding tissues in these areas leads to laxity and sagging in the jowl area, heavy cheeks and the appearance of a ‘double chin’.
This has a knock-on effect on the appearance of the neck and the condition of the skin as we age. The chin, jawline and jaw angle define the lower face and visually separate the face from the neck.
The accurate placement of a Juvederm Hyaluronic Acid dermal filler at the angle of the jaw, in the chin and the jowl area, can recreate an aesthetically youthful and structured jawline.
A short, weak chin can be made to appear longer and more defined, and a jowly jawline can be made to look more firm and contoured.
